1)Hypercholesterolemia
When diet control and non drug treatment is not good for the patients with primary hypercholesterolemia, simvastatin treatment is possible. Simvastatin not only can reduce total cholesterol, low density lipoprotein cholesterol, apolipoprotein B and triglycerides, but only can increase high density lipoprotein cholesterol, thus reduce low-density lipoprotein cholesterol/high-density lipoprotein cholesterol and total cholesterol/high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol rate.
In the high cholesterol and high triglycerides coexist with blood and high cholesterol as patients, simvastatin can reduce cholesterol level.
2)Coronary heart disease
To coronary heart disease patients with high cholesterol, simvastatin apply to:
Reduce the risk of death.
Reduce coronary heart disease death and nonfatal myocardial infarction risk. Reduce the need for coronary events myocardial recanalization surgery (coronary artery bypass surgery and percutaneous balloon coronary artery figuration) in the process.
